Welcome to Painted Willow Healing
The healing journey of motherhood is profound and complex. Working with an art therapist, you’ll explore how trauma, neglect, and attachment shape your relationships with your children and yourself.
Not a mother? That’s okay. Working through your childhood trauma, attachment issues, neglect, or stress will help you understand how you relate to the world.
Art therapy, EMDR, and somatic attachment therapy create a safe space to uncover hidden emotions and process painful memories, transforming them into strength. You'll recognize how your childhood influences your parenting, learning to embrace vulnerability and nurture both your children and yourself.
This compassionate transformation fosters healing connections, turning trauma into resilience. Motherhood can create a new narrative where love and understanding thrive, paving the way for a brighter future for you and your children. Together, we heal, creating a legacy of strength and security.
Art Therapy
Art therapy is a type of counseling that uses art like drawing, painting, or sculpting to help people communicate and explore themselves. It allows individuals to show feelings and thoughts they can't easily put into words. The goal is to increase self-understanding, heal emotionally, and develop personally, all while offering a way to deal with mental issues without talking.
EMDR
EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is a powerful therapy approach that helps individuals heal from trauma. By engaging in bilateral stimulation such as side-to-side eye movements, sounds, or taps, EMDR facilitates the processing of distressing memories and emotions. This results in the integration of traumatic experiences, leading to decreased emotional reactivity and symptoms of post-traumatic stress. EMDR has been shown to be effective in treating a variety of issues, including PTSD, anxiety, phobias, and more.
Talk Therapy/Counseling
Therapy provides a safe place to talk about feelings and past events. Different techniques like EMDR and art therapy help process trauma and improve self-awareness. A therapist can help you handle difficulties, learn ways to cope, and start a healing journey.
